That's is the expression most Malaysian uses when they want to describe the emotion or action when they forget something/someone, something amiss, utter sense of disbelief etc
Here I use the expression for the utter sense total disbelief.
Why the utter sense of disbelief?
When I joined the current company that I'm working for, I did have a sense of direction and vision for the company. I actually owns 30% of the company and I have been entrusted to manage the company. The remaining 70% of the company is owned by a group of individual company directors who have successful businesses in their own right and together they formed another company to owns the remainder 70% of it.
Mind you though, I also realized that my position in the company is also a rather top and being the only of my race in the company, certainly does open to a lot of uneasiness.
To cut the story short, after 2.5 years of operations without losing any money each year, we have found ourselves in a situation of 1 ship with 2 captains steering the ship and not to mention heavy politicking like our current government politics.
On one hand, we have a brother of one of the director spreading malicious and moral busting rumors about our little company setting up or taking up businesses that is in direct competition with the parent company. The lies and rumors are rather personal in its attack at he actually puts my name in front of the company. Our industry is quite a wide range of scope of supply chain of services, works etc....I do not see any how or whatever reasons it may be that we are competing with the parent company and in actual fact, we are complementing them more. As they are not able to cover a broad spectrum of the industry but rather a small part of it, I do not see the any god reason to turn away business other than what they are doing that comes my way when I can make decent earnings from it.
Then we have another brother of the same director insisting that we do business their way and in the 2.5 years of working with me, have on 3 occasions insinuated and accused me of pocketing money earned from the businesses. I have proved it to him that all the money, he accuses me of, was in actual fact banked into the company account days before.
Its rather disappointing to know that people like to accuse and insinuating allegations without first verify or investigate the truth of it.
In short, we have been asked to grow our business without expanding. Hmmm...
Sadly too, a lot people do not have the guts to own up to their wrongful accusations and as a matter of fact, brushes it aside as if it is alright and given right to do so.
Instead of concentrating in thinking of ways to improve the company's earnings and businesses, they chose to conduct political assassination of good company staffs, spread rumors, conduct witch hunts, sowing dischord and disharmony among all the company staff etc.
It is usually the case of someone who is guilty that is making the most noise trumpeting justice when in actual fact they are grossly guilty of misconduct in the first place.
This is very typical of the Asian mentality and culture in which is a vindictive and unforgivable one.
Funnily enough too, the way the whole structure of all the companies is being managed now, it is akin to an espionage network within a political party like the one we are witnessing in our country now.
Hence, my title...AIYA! Here we go again.
